A Strong Holiday Season Can Mean a Strong January

I get it. We all want (and deserve!) some downtime come end November through December. This is not me telling you to skip the eggnog, ignore the tree, or stay glued to your laptop while everyone else is watching holiday movies.
But I am saying If it’s all play and zero business touchpoints, January can start out a little sluggish.
And I don’t know about you, but I like to kick off a new year with a few quick wins under my belt. Momentum matters.
Here’s what I’m doing, starting right now, to make sure this holiday season leads directly into a strong, energized, successful January. How does this sound to you?
I’m reaching out by phone to three people a day Not to pitch or sell, but just to wish them a wonderful holiday season. Those genuine moments of connection matter more than we think.
I’m sending cards and small gifts of gratitude The people I want to stay close to? I want them to feel that. A handwritten note or thoughtful token goes a long way.
I’m booking tiny touchpoint meetings A coffee, a quick lunch, a 20-minute catch-up. Nothing heavy. Just keeping ties warm, strong, and human.
I’m sharing ideas for 2026 Whether it’s strategies, resources, or simple suggestions, I’m giving my clients and referral partners a head start. Inspiration is a gift too.
I’m circling back to the “almosts” from 2025 The folks who were interested but didn’t move forward this year? They’re not a “no.” They’re a “not yet.” And “yet” might be 2026.
This isn’t hustle culture. It’s relationship culture. It’s staying top-of-mind in a season full of noise, but doing it with warmth, generosity, and intention.
And if January is one of your most important months (like it is for me), these small steps can make all the difference. Here’s to a strong finish, and an even stronger start.
