New Year, New Insurance

I don’t know about you but for me, this has been a crazy year. It went by quickly, and yet in other ways, it was slow as molasses.

In 2022 Covid was still with us; correction, Covid is still with us, and throughout the year, we settled into what is our new normal.

And life went on.

Many of us have grand plans for the year ahead including things we want to do differently and changes we wish to make in our personal and business lives.

It’s a time for some reflection and I appreciate the “hard stop” for 2022 and a clean blank page for what lies ahead.

And, yes of course I know it is artificial. The days roll forward don’t they so a hard stop can come at any time, and plans for something new don’t have to occur as we turn the page on the calendar.

During this time of potential change, I also like to look at some of the more “practical” things in my life. They might not be as exciting as big plans for my business or teeing up a trip to an exotic location, but the “practical things” are what we often refer to as “must do’s or must have’s” and yes, that includes insurance.

Insurance isn’t a “one and done.” Things change and we need to make certain that our insurance reflects the changes that occur.

New possessions, changes in the household such as a new baby, new dog, and other changes big and small need to be examined to see if they impact the protection that you already have.

I know that it might not be the most fun thing to do, and that’s why many of my clients like to use the new year as the impetus to review what they have. We discuss their current coverages, what if anything has changed, and what plans they have moving forward.

It doesn’t take much time, but it provides peace of mind and confidence that their protection is in order.

I’d like to encourage you to do the same, and of course, if I can answer questions or assist in any way, please reach out.
